Today’s post is all about eye candy. We’ll be looking at marble, the wabi-sabi concept and arches to help and inspire your next moodboard whether it’s an update for your kitchen or bathroom. We’ll also be recommending hardware collections that suit all of these trends!

Marble

Source from CK Stones

Carrera and simulated carrera-like quartz have long been popular. But there’s another marble to watch out for, arabescato. Prized for its white background and bold gray veining, use it all over for a bold statement or a contained area such as a backsplash for a singular focal point.

For a pared back monochromatic look we recommend silver and black finishes such as Chrome, Matte Black and pewters to blend in with the gray veining. For an elegant contrast that is as bold as arabescato, Brushed Golden Brass finishes work to enhance and offset the marble while bringing added warmth. All of Hickory Hardware’s newest collections for 2020 come in silver, black and gold finishes to match. See Karat, Piper, Veranda and Woodward.

Wabi-sabi

By ZMY Design

There is beauty in imperfection, asymmetry and a sense of incompleteness, that is wabi-sabi. A stark contrast to the refined beauty of perfection and luxe glamor, wabi-sabi embraces the aging patina of materials and the natural world. Wabi-sabi is rustic, modest and simple. Hickory Hardware collections that embody this aesthetic include Refined Rustic, Mountain Lodge and Old Mission.

Arches

Design by Sarah Sherman Samuel via Domino

Arches and pill-shaped chain-link shapes have taken over interior and product design. To complement such soft shapes, rounded forms in coffee tables, sofas, lighting and decorative objects have taken cues. Some hardware that matches this aesthetic from the Hickory Hardware line include these Metropolis pulls and knobs, Velocity knobs, and Midway knobs.
