9 Ikea Rast Hacks: Round 3

The Ikea Rast dresser hacks just keep on coming! We partnered with creative bloggers located near Menards stores that agreed to take on the challenge. The only limitiations: they had to update their dresser with Hickory Hardware and Pittsburgh Paints. Supplies were purchased from Menards stores. Ranked in order of most voted for, let’s begin!:

1) Bliss At Home

The vibrant bright yellow color behind this beautiful pattern drawer overlay makes this mid-century modern piece one of a kind. Featuring the Metropolis Satin Rose Gold contemporary bar pulls (PA0225-SRG). It may be the fanciest record stand we’ve ever seen!

2) Homemade by Carmona

Now what do you get when you have 2 Ikea Rast Dressers? A DIY Wardrobe. Ursula simply stacked two dressers on top of eachother and built a customized closet storage around it. Featuring the 160mm Metropolis Satin Nickel Contemporary Bar Pulls (PA0226-SN).

3) Designed Decor

DeDe and her husband created this baseball bat holder customized for her husband’s baseball team. It’s on casters, has 96mm Craftsman Rustic black iron cup pulls (P2174-BI)on each side for mobility, a rustic iron hook to hang a bell for runs, and you can store extra baseball accessories in the bottom drawer accented with Craftsman knobs (P2170-BI). You can even turn it around to reveal a chalkboard that you can keep score on!

4) Cleverly Simple

Lynette painted hers a deep blue, and replaced the top drawer with a shelf, with a chic fabric backdrop. She used these Satin Nickel bail pulls (519049035).

5) House by Hoff

April updated her Ikea dresser with into a beach cottage sidetable. Replacing the top with weathered wood and adding these Williamsburg Satin Dover cup pulls (P2077-SD) with a golden hue to match her sunburst mirror.

6) Practically Functional

Jessi created a Hollywood Regency styled dresser achieved with Pittsburgh Paint, lace, spray paint and new Satin Nickel bail pulls (519049035).

7) How To Nest For Less

Isn’t this darling? Painted with a vibrant coral color called “Cranberry Splash”, with nailhead-liked details that are actually stick on crystals and Satin Nickel pendant pulls (265369035).

8) My Creative Days

Lindsay made hers into a beverage station with casters so it can be brought into any indoor/outdoor space for entertainment needs. She used Cottage Oil-Rubbed Bronze Cabinet Pulls (P3382-10B) on the door and one of the side of the cart to help roll the entire piece. She placed a Bungalow Oil-Rubbed Bronze Hook (P2155-10B) on the other side to hang towels. Her repurposed doors stay shut with the 1-7/8 In. Statuary Bronze Double Magnetic Catch.

9) Creative Ramblings

Sarah created this ultra mod dresser with pops of yellow surprises as you open each drawer. The hardware was updated with 160mm Metropolis satin nickel bar pulls (PA0226-SN).
